About
The standout feature is the price: there isn't one. This is the mall's own soft-play area, open to anyone, sitting in the middle of the food court at Garden State Plaza, which makes it the obvious answer to a wet hour with a toddler when you were coming here anyway.
Set your expectations accordingly. It used to be themed around a children's television series and carried interactive screens, a climbing net and games built into the Ferris wheel; a remodel stripped most of that out, and a visitor who came back specifically for it called the result a downgrade. What remains is a low toddler area and not a great deal for anyone older.
Being free and unstaffed is the whole trade. Socks are the posted rule and nobody enforces it, the floor shows it, and the shoes question has caused genuine arguments between parents. Mall security is visible and the food court is all around you, which is the practical appeal. On Friday and Saturday evenings unaccompanied children are moved on after five, so treat it as a daytime option with a small child rather than somewhere to park an older one.
