Pick the session before you pick the day. Open play here runs in fixed drop-in blocks rather than all day, on a floor built for babies through six-year-olds: foam climbers, tumble mats, a trampoline, and a book nook that one parent used for quiet time with their son between bursts of climbing.

Twice a week the late afternoon becomes a happy hour, with the coffee bar pouring wine and beer as well, and it is a different room then. One Friday visitor describes the place packed with children, balloons flying in every direction and nearly every parent holding a drink. That is the point of it, and worth knowing before you bring a crawler.

The layout does not stay put. A regular says the tumble area looks different every time they come, and the venue describes the space as refreshed daily. No membership is needed and the venue says most sessions need no reservation, but the character meet-and-greets have their own bookings, and a visiting children's show here sold out both of its performances. Parents who mention the coffee, and plenty do, like it.
