About

Its own answer to who this suits is infancy to eight, and the reviews hold that line: the upstairs space is picked out by the parent of a one-year-old, and the bounce house, slide and climbing area carry the middle. The honest verdict is that it works differently depending on which door you come in by — as a drop-in it is a modest, well-thought-through playroom in an unusual building, and as a party venue it is what the place is mainly booked for.

The building is the surprise. It is old and high-ceilinged, and a reviewer with an eye for architecture reports it has doubled as a television filming location; an episode of a children's series was shot here, which one parent describes bringing her daughter to a standstill in the doorway before she tore round pointing at things she recognized. There are couches and working wifi, so a parent can get something done, and you are encouraged to bring your own food.

The venue is unusually forthcoming about equipment. It says it chose a deliberately small ball pit because it does not believe the enormous ones can be kept clean, and that it paid more to source a bounce house made outside the supply chain that failed lead testing. Set against that, one reviewer describes staff restocking toy buckets rather than watching the floor: supervision is yours. Hosts disagree sharply about the packages — one found everything set out with no surprises, another listed at length what she had to bring herself — so read the inclusions line by line. Parking, contrary to older reports, is the easy part.
