Look at the ball pit when you arrive. It is the centerpiece, big and with slides running into it, and it is also where the complaints concentrate: one parent who came to the first session of the day on two separate visits found hair through the balls both times, and others have reported the same. Plenty of visitors call the place very clean, so this reads as uneven upkeep rather than a lost cause, but it is worth a glance before a toddler dives in.

The rest of the room is built for under-eights and pitched well for the youngest of them: a soft area by the entrance suited to one- and two-year-olds, a padded carousel, swings, trampolines, a dress-up corner and a play school bus. Parents describe it as big enough to keep a five-year-old busy without overwhelming a toddler.

Weekends are uncertain. The venue lists Friday to Sunday as schedule-dependent, and two reviewers were turned away or had bookings cancelled because a private event took the space. Booking online for a weekday is the surer route, and two reviewers say calls to the front desk went unanswered.
