Zona Rosa, not North Kansas City - the name on the door sends people to the wrong end of town, and at least one parent has turned up annoyed about the drive. Once you are inside, the rules sit at the strict end of what this chain does anywhere. Socks on everyone, including adults who only mean to sit down; a waiver for every adult, and it is not looked up from another branch; and, if you are simply walking in to play, no outside food or drink, enforced to the point that a family had a coffee taken off them at the entrance. Book a party and the food rules are different ones, so check which set applies before you plan anything around a cake. The ride-on electric bikes cost extra, and reviewers report some of them not working. More than one visitor also describes the water fountains being out of service and staff declining to fill a bottle, which reads very differently in a hot building in August than it would in January.

It is new, and it shows in the good ways too: nothing is worn out, staff are visibly cleaning through the day, and the entrance is magnetically locked so nobody wanders out on their own. The soccer area is what children pick out first, ahead of the climbing maze; there is a toddler section with its own smaller ball pit, and a disco-lit room they keep going back into. Admission covers the whole day with re-entry, and there is wifi and enough tables that parents genuinely work. Two things regulars pass on: the slides are fast enough that bare legs hurt, so long trousers, and for older children this is a forty-five-minute to one-hour stop rather than a morning.
