About
Two playrooms sit on different floors of Newport Centre, and this is the upstairs one. They are easily confused — two reviews posted here describe a party actually held at the room downstairs — and while their walk-in prices match to the cent, the party packages do not: this is the cheaper of the two to book. Worth confirming which floor you are booked onto.
What you get is a compact and genuinely clean room built for the very young: soft play, a ball pit, and a party space reviewers call cozy in the honest sense of small. One family who came for a first birthday said they would make the drive from New Haven to come back. A parent of a two-year-old put the useful range at baby to about eight.
The catch is availability. It gets closed for private events at weekends — one parent brought a toddler over, found it shut, was directed to the room downstairs, and found that shut too on arriving. Book online, and if you are turning up on spec at a weekend, call first.

Birthday Parties
Plan a short guest list. Three hosts describe the party room as narrow, cozy or small — sufficient, each of them says, but not somewhere to add a dozen extra adults. Nothing is sold on site, so the food is yours to bring, and one host points out that the mall around it makes that easier than it sounds. Booking is online and hosts call it painless.
