About

A play café in the literal sense: a small, deliberately uncluttered room of good toys — elevated train tracks, play kitchens, a ball pit and slide — with a proper coffee bar along one side. Reviewers reach for the same words about it, beautiful and calm and thoughtfully designed. One regular singles out the bathroom, which has a child-sized toilet and a family restroom, and says it is the only public space where their babies can crawl for hours without getting filthy.

The thing to plan around is capacity. Three separate visitors describe being turned away or held outside: one watched a dozen caregivers sent away in the cold, another called ahead and was asked to wait forty minutes anyway, a third had to explain it to a disappointed child. Member reservations, a live status page and a waitlist have since been added, and the first of those reviewers checked that status, arrived five minutes later and found it full. Walking in is not a given.

The other catch is the clock. Play is billed by the hour and you check yourself out on the device at the desk — one reviewer was charged a second hour for running a minute over, because nobody had mentioned the checkout step, and another warns there is only a fifteen-minute margin. It genuinely works for a crawler and an older sibling at once: a regular praises exactly that, a floor uncluttered enough to keep choking hazards away from babies without leaving the bigger ones bored.

Birthday Parties

Read the rules before you fall for the room. Nothing comes in from outside — not food, not decorations, not balloons, not entertainers, not even your own music — and the twenty-five-guest ceiling counts adults as well as children. Nor is the space yours: other families are in it throughout. Bookings run mid-April to mid-October only.
