The design does most of the work: a wooden forest build with astro-turf underfoot, which one visitor describes as feeling like being outdoors and indoors at once. Activities rotate rather than sitting static, so a child with a short attention span meets a different room on the second visit, and one parent whose son has come for several months credits the rotation with holding his attention. Staff engage with the children instead of watching from behind a desk, and the adult comforts are handled too, down to complimentary water and seltzer.

The thing that will catch you out is access: it runs by reservation, not walk-in, so book before you make the trip. It holds a toddler and a five-year-old at the same time, though the fittings are pitched at the younger end.
