It is new, and the fit-out has not entirely caught up with the children using it. Two visitors, independently, flagged that a determined toddler can find gaps a finished space would have closed — an unbarriered service area, a door catch within reach, floors uneven enough to trip on. Both still rated the place warmly, which is the right proportion: this is a young venue being run with obvious care, not a careless one, but it is worth arriving with your eyes open if your child is a wanderer.

What it gets right is cleanliness, and the reviews are near-unanimous on it. Parents describe the owners cleaning throughout the session rather than between them; one mother of newborn twins, who describes herself as a hypochondriac, brought her toddler for his first ever soft play and came back a week later to say nothing had come of it. The bathrooms have changing tables and nappy bins, which sounds minor until you need one. It is family-run by two couples, there are princess dresses and an air-and-ball machine that the youngest fixate on, and character mornings turn up often enough that regulars plan around them.
