About
Two things recur here and they pull in opposite directions. The first is that the parties are excellent. Every booking gets one dedicated attendant, and host after host describes arriving disorganised and being quietly carried through the afternoon by someone who had plainly done it a hundred times before. Several single parents say it let them attend their own child's party instead of running it.
The second is upkeep, and it has come up across several years and several visitors — sticky floors in a socks-only space, grime worked into the crevices of blocks and toy cars, battery-dead musical toys still sitting in the bins. The more recent open-play reviews are warmer, but the run was long enough to be worth knowing before committing to a morning here.
The space itself is small and squarely aimed at toddlers, with pretend-play corners rather than anything to climb. That smallness is an asset at a party, where twenty children and thirty adults fit without anyone losing sight of anyone, and a limit on an ordinary visit, where an older child runs out of ideas quickly. The entrance area for shoes and strollers is cramped, so arrive before the group you are meeting rather than after.
